OwnSite LAB

Where we try what comes next.

Interactive experiences, experimental design and new ways of building for the web.

LAB gathers the experiments the studio makes on its own initiative, taking an idea all the way to a working site. Everything we have published — client sites and our own developments, Velsurne included — is in Work

Velsurne home page: the Object 01 floor lamp, a ring around a floating disc, lit against a dark wall beside the headline “A light you never see.”

Velsurne· Object 01

A product explored on screen as it would be in a showroom: a real-time 3D model with finishes, light, views and configurations that can be shared by link.

Velsurne is a fictional brand and Object 01 a conceptual luminaire, created by OwnSite Studio to show what a product website can do. Nothing is manufactured or sold, and it was not made for a client.

What it demonstrates

  • A real-time 3D model you turn by dragging, lit in the browser
  • Finish, plinth, light level, colour temperature and views, changed live
  • Configurations shared by link
  • An enquiry that prepares an email — nothing is sent or stored
  • Five pages in English and Spanish, from phone to desktop
